Aela should have been bosmer?

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 1:23 am

So,when we join the companions we got to meet the warriors there,Farkas,Vilkas, all heavy armor and stuff, but Aela is more rogue-ish,uses a bow, that face paint that looks like a camo, matching armor and talks so much about hunting, unlike all other tank like nords.

Aside from being a companion, she doesn't have anything in common with nords at all, anyone else think she should have been a bosmer?

She is sixy...also just because she is a Nord doesn't mean she doesn't like hunt...i saw alot of fisherman and hunter nords on Riften regions.

Nope.

Just because she doesn't have her fighting skills the same as most other Companions doesn't mean she does not share traits with other Nords. The first and foremost trait being shared is that she is a Nord. Furthermore, the Thieves are also Nords and the Dark Brotherhood and College also have some Nords among them.

It almost seems as if people can be defined by something other than their racial heritage!

But it doesn't look nordic and ancient like the male version.

She looks like a female version of William Wallace to me, which is probably the easiest to portray with a Nord.

Do I see an example of ingame racism? :teehee: Just because she uses a bow, hunts, and has facepaint she has to be a Bosmer

I found it strange there were so few races apart from Nords, Imperials and Breton's in Companions.
Had a dunmer as far as I can recall but that's about it.
I mean, no Orc? Really? So it's fine to run with the Nord warrior and honor cliché for a warrior guild but god forbid they used the Orc cliché for it as well.
Skyrim seems a bit too human to me.

I wonder why female ancient nord armour changes so dramaticly from its male version.

Orcs follow's the Malacath codes. So see a Orc outside one of their keeps is hard. And of course they are desobeing Malacath. Also Khajiit's aren't aloweed in citys. So it's nearly impossible a companion to be a Khaajit.

Not all Nords are tanks! I play a thief-mage nord specializing in alteration and bow. So no she should remain Nord.

There was that one Nord in Oblivion who was a master trainer in acrobatics. I wonder what you would say about him - that he should've been a Khajiit? :P

Aela's personality is very Nordish. She's proud and strong, and a part of a family-like organization. As for hunting, well, there are dozens of hunters running around in Skyrim, so you really can't say Nords don't occupy themselves with archery. Actually, I believe hunting is a very important part of their lives, since in this frozen land farming must be difficult.

That said, there should be more Bosmer in the game, so I woudln't mind Aela being one

I don't mind that there are fewer of those annoying Bosmer around. What Skyrim needs is more Khajiti.
