Aela the warewolf - cured?

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 6:09 pm

I read that someone rid Vilkas of his lycanthropy. Is this true? Can one rid specific Companions of their lycanthropy? Aela the Huntress is my follower. Since I removed my warewolfness, I figued I'd minas well remove hers too since she never really turns into a warewolf. How do you do this? Or is this just hogwash?

Vilkas and Farkas can be cured, since they don't want to go to Hircine's Hunting Grounds like Kodlak said. Aela likes beeing a shewolf and therefore can't be cured.

Then I'm curing my main man, Farkas.

She doesn't want to be cured. Maybe she will change her mind once from hunter she will turn into a prey. In Hircine hunting grounds there are no rules... surviving is everything.

Aela's special "werewolf" quests are the opposite of Farkas and Vilkas but they can't be done if you are cured.

You think she doesn't know that?

I like Aela and Skjor cause they aren't the whiney people trying to cure their gift because all they want to do is sit around and be fat in a damn eternal pub. And to be honest, werewolves get special treatment. "For some, this is a paradise. They want nothing more to hunt with their Master for eternity."-Kodlak.

Read Infernal City. Hircine hunts WITH werewolves while werebears hunt during the day. Everything else is hunted down and killed(Mortals, cattle and etc).

Aela is my wife. She is one hairy woman but boy does she make me howl. Nothing like a bit of doggy style loving. Xx

I rally don't understand why do you want to cure her only because you cured yourself (especially if she doesn't want it and is not bothering anyone with it).

Well if his character is an afterlife-believing sorta man, then he'd go to Sovngarde or something and Aela would be taken to Hircine's hunting grounds. TOGETHER FOREVER OR ELSE.

Amen. Werewolf is awesome, and I'm proud to be one. Even with its shortcomings.

With a little http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=5866I must say that playing as one is pretty badass if you ask me. However I can see from a RP point of view that curing the werewolf disease is the proper way to go... If you're a nord that is. My character is a nord and is a werewolf, and although he enjoys being a werewolf... eventually he wants to be cured so he can go to Sovngarde when he dies.

I cured myself and married Aela. I don't get well rested anymore, just rested. I don't get lover's comfort either. Is it permanent side-effect because I was a werewolf before? Or is it because I married Aela?

What does it say under Active Effects? There's a bug where you'll wake "rested" according to the screen, but it will say "Well Rested" under Active Effects. If you aren't getting Lover's Comfort, talk to Aela. Say you'd like to move to her place. She'll say she'll meet you there (her place in Jorrvaskr's basemant). Go there and the quest updates "visit your spouse's home." Now talk to her again and ask to move wherever you want. Spend the night with her there and you should now get some lovin'. :snoring:

Also, to the main topic, I rather wish there had been some closure dialog with Aela after the brothers are cured. Something like, "well, Aela, you are the last werewolf of the Circle. There'll never be another like you again." Then she can agree that the tradition of the Companions takes precedence, and that she's glad you respect her personal choice.

Haha, depth in dialouge. :P

Dovahkiin: So, you're still a werewolf?
Aela: Yes.
Dovahkiin: How's that working out for you?
Aela: S'alright.

There's a bug where the game still considers you under werewolf status.

It worked just like you said it would! Thank you! I checked the Active Effects and indeed I was Well Rested, not Rested. I slept in Jorrvaskr for one night and got Lover's Comfort and we moved back to Breezehome and kept Lover's Comfort.
