Are you lumping all people who identify themselves as "black" as African-American?

Either way, yes, I am sure there are black advlts that play Skyrim. Gaming isn't just for non-black people. One of my good friends is black and plays Skyrim.

I'm an African American that plays Skyrim, I have 2 copies, one on ps3, which i got at release, and i just recently built myself a gaming pc, and bought it again so i can play with mods.

Being racist about your own race is still racist. I have jewish ancestors, so if I act anti-semitic then my behavior would still be described as prejudice.

To answer the op, I have an ethnically diverse group of friends and most if not all enjoy Skyrim or respect it for what it is.

This thread needs a lock. Not only is it purposeless, but it could easily get sour.

This sort of thing belongs in the community discussion, where you may introduce yourself and post anything you'd like others to know, including your race.

Very right. "African American" lumps Egyptian-Brazillians and other such groups into what is obviously not the intended demographic, while keeping folks who are of, say, Canadian-Haitian decent right out. Another reason we don't need this thread.

Also, it has nothing to do with Skyrim other than just asking whether a group of people play it. It's not much of a discussion.

I do find that african americans do not reveal themselves as much on the forums or in games.

There is someone I had known in WoW for a long time. I never knew he was black until he told me last year. I wasn't surprised because there's something wrong with african american playing games. I was surprised because he was the first black person that I know of, that revealed his race.

Of course they do play the game, they just don't reveal themselves. And they shouldn't have to. So this thread is interesting and unique.

I also agree with this lol. They are probably the ones who whoop my behind in PvP in WoW too.
