I think i've finally squeezed out every bit of juice Skyrim has to offer. I play on console so i don't have mods to accommodate me but i wish there was something new in the game i could do to bring me back. Can't say i didn't enjoy it though, well worth the $60. I'm just waiting on DLC now to bring back that excitement i got when i played it for the first time. There was just so much to do in the game and i enjoyed it so much, but making a new character doesn't change much of the game for me. I still remember like every misc, side, and main quest in the game haha so running it through with another character doesn't make it any better. But hey, 300 hours? I can't complain. Great game.
Steam tells me I've played Skyrim for 647 hours. I haven't done everything yet. I've played 2 fighter-types...2 handed and sword and shield. I liked sword an shield the best, because shield bash is fun.
I've played 2 robe wearing, no weapon skill mage type characters. The hardest one went full-on destruction magic. That was most frustrating. It is weak. But that makes it fun. Illusion is powerful, and was also fun. But eventually, I could just cast "Harmony" and nothing attacked me ever. I could just walk up to the enemies. Jump on top of them and bounce up and down. They don't care. Just walk past them, un stealthed and take the objective. And, believe it or not, this was also fun!
I played 2 light armor thief types. 1 with archery, 1 with only daggers. Daggers is kind of frustrating, because 1 handed skill never raises from using daggers. You have to train it with gold. But getting gold isn't much of a problem really. Archery seems a bit over-powered by comparison. But it was loads of fun too!
Try everything that you CAN do, with as many different character builds as you can think of. Don't try to think of a build that maximizes your character's ability...that is easy, and just leads to eventual boredom. Think of ways to make it harder...rather than just setting it to "Master" level. Because even that will quickly become too easy, as you min-max your character build.
Also , get a PC. I don't use console devices because they just aren't as flexible as PCs.
