After Dawnguard, what expansion pack should Bethesda make?

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 8:26 am

I honestly think they should make something where the Dragonborn goes to Akavir and goes to the nations of the Ka Po' Tun, Tsaesci, Kamal, and Tang Mo. He should fight Tosh Raka in Ka Po' Tun, topple the kingdom and stuff. Do you guys think this would have to be in the next Elder Scrolls game? There would have to be a threat presented, though. I need honest opinions here.

Thanks, and have a nice day.

They trademarked the name Hearthfire so the next DLC will most likely be called it.

It was the same with Dawnguard. Beth trademarked name, people found out about the word Dawnguard, speculation about being the name of DLC, became true.

It'd be great to get into it with some Dunmer from Morrowind. I miss the old days.

I want something involving the Thalmor, but not so soon. Maybe the last expansion. As for the next one, I wouldn't mind a Dwemer excavation of some such.
No I don't want a magical dwemer to still be alive. I just want to learn a little more about their race. As for what you said, I think it's a great idea, but it may have to be in the next game. I suppose they could make it smaller, but meh.

This has happened with almost everything Bethesda has done for quite a while. I'm sure Bethesda hates it. I figure eventually they'll come up with some way to disguise this.

They should delve more into the various faction guild's perhaps a vision of the void or trip to it. However expanding the knowlege base of the akaviri a trip to the infamous mysterious continent akavir one execption for that is if they are saving the akaviri for a new game altogether.

Hearthfire. My speculation is that the Snow Elf Prince is going to be raised back alive in Hearthfire. It would make sense, Hearthfire is a Conjuration skill book in the game. I know there were some files in DLC01 about him, but I believe they were put in to throw players off on what Dawnguard was actually about.

The next one should be about the dwarves. It should explain what happened to them, why the snow elves were enslaved, and various other things.

Hopefully something with the Thalmor.
Now we've got our token "daedra playground" expansion, I don't think it wise to do ANOTHER daedra focused one.

-Mmm. Hearthfire. Sounds like a domestic mag. to build and improve your own home / castle / dungeon etc. Certainly not Falmerish or Thalmorish. Definitely not Black-Reachian! More of an add on, than a quest storyline maybe?. Console players could really use a better and postive way to customize and decorate their safe homes. Moving objects around and placing them for decorative effect is a right pain in the @$$ in this game, compared to Oblivion, which wasn't that user friendly either. But being able to establish a home out in the wilds would be a fantastic feature! Maybe something the size of an Orc hold, only less rustic?

hmm hearth fire makes me think of morrowind, just because it was a spell i think...Maybe a portion of mainland morrowind will be playable. As to what i think they should do...maybe something to do with jyggy, or pick some other obscure lore and expand upon it. Oh maybe stop some whack job thalmor plot to erase the kalpa, or something

This has already been explained indirectly and directly through in-game books. While most information on the Dwarves' disappearance can be found in Morrowind, a good deal is in Skyrim, especially if you join the Mage's Guild and participate in a quest with Arniel (no spoilers!). The Snow Elves enslavement has a book of its own where it explains that the Snow Elves were defeated by the Nords (their Snow Prince was killed by a little orphan girl). They fled and went to the Dwemer (Dwarves) for help. The Dwemer then poisoned them with the food they gave them until they became blind and stunted, using them as slave labor. The Snow Elves later rose up in revolt and devolved into the brutish creatures we have now. They were freed when the Dwemer disappeared.

The next one should be about the dwarves. It should explain what happened to them, why the snow elves were enslaved, and various other things.

Even though that seems like a really sweet idea, and would be a good avenue for diversity and variety. It really seems like that would be a new game in itself, from my understanding, correct me if im wrong, Akavir is pretty huge and probably the same size as Morrowind so i dont think they could honestly put that in a DLC but maybe in another ES game.

This would probably be too big but when you take Riften for the Empire one of the guards mention that it is a good launching point into Morrowind. Maybe it would be cool to see a secret plot to take over Morrowind by the Thalmor and the Empire fights them there?

A return to Solstheim would be my dream expansion. Morrowind was (was) my favorite of the series and it would be nice to see a familiar place. It's about as close to Skyrim as it is to Morrowind as I recall, so maybe it would be as easy as take a ship ala Fallout 3's Point Lookout.
Perhaps there would be a larger port city, all of those Dunmer had to go somewhere after the eruption, right? Logically you would also find a few spears, maybe a set of Adamantium armor?

I imagine hearthfire will have to do with getting your own castle.
