After you die... what happens to your corpse? : V

I was wondering what happens to your corpse once you die in skyrim? As a nord do I become a Draugr after a while? This would be an idealic addon to get in touch in the human world.

of course everybody would be attacking you.... just like the vampires and werewolves

Draugr are the mummified remains of their king's subjects, who were killed along side him. If you died you would just rot in whatever tomb you were in.

It actually never happened..... either your playing DiD and that game is over or you load a save of before you died.... so it never actually happened.

Seeing as your reload is another time line(ie another universe of exactly the same data) then you will not see your corpse.

It lays on the ground until I select Load.

Now, if you want a lore like answer, well, you see all those Mudcrabs? They don't eat mud.

You wander around after some Necromancer saying "uhhhh... uhhhh...."

A couple of days ago I had a Master Necromancer as a zombie. I got out of the dungeon and he wasn't needed any more, so I hit him in the back of his head with a hammer. As he dies, he says "thaank yooou..."

Creeped me out.

Remember that skeleton you passed a while ago in a dungeon? That's what will happen to it. And if you're lucky a necromancer will revive you, only to be killed in one blow. But because you are dragonborn you get the awesome ability to go back in time to your last memory.

Likely whatever killed you does a few of the following things: Eats, reanimates, loots, "plays with", or ignores your body. What determines which one or ones is done to you really depends on how healthy or attractive you are I suppose.

I'll tell you what happens to your corpse.

They'll wrap you in a bloody sheet,
then drop you in a hole six feet deep.
It all goes well for about a week,
until your coffin begins to leak.
The worms go in, the worms go out,
they turn your guts into sauerkraut.
They eat your eyes, they eat your nose,
they eat the stuff between your toes.
Your stomach turns a mossy green,
and pus runs out like fresh whipped cream.
And there you are, without a spoon...

Considering your dead, I don't think health enters the equation.
