Again Game stops at ending? =/

That too, but even people who like Fallout 3 think Broken Steel was terrible. Including me :swear:

Broken Steel was great, it fixed all of the busted stuff about that horrible first ending, and did a decent job in most other respects.

and as far as closed-ending games - - - poo on that - - - the first mod I loaded for NV that was not my own was a forced-game-ending-bypasser mod which lets you continue your game after MQ completion.

Broken Steel destroyed the balance of the game, introduced a bunch of bullet sponge enemies that weren't fun to fight and introduced a whole host of bugs to a previously relatively stable game. Definitely not great.

On the game ending: it's not a sandbox game. It may be dressed like one, but it isn't one. So it's only right and proper that it should end.

"Nothing ends, Adrian, nothing ever ends."

You can always start a new character.

Some of Broken Steel was cool, some of it was exactly as you described it.

I would certainly play an expansion to NV that continues on after the end, and I'd probably enjoy it (unless it made the game buggier than it already is). Ask for it, however? No, I'm happy with what I've got.

But, yeah. New character is always a great suggestion. Playing as the same dude forever can get really old, really fast.

With any luck they will bring out a Broken Steel-esque DLC soon. :P

Sawyer has said they will not be doing a "Broken Steel" dlc for the game. The game ends. If they do put out dlc, it will be set before the game ends; the same way FO3 was supposed to work, before Bethesda gave in and took out the ending.
