"Agents of Change" DLC Poll

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 3:13 pm

Have a look at the new DLC for Brink coming this june before you complete the poll: http://bethblog.com/index.php/2011/05/27/brink-dlc-details-and-stats-site-update/

Thought i'd make a poll to collect fellow gamer's thoughts on the "Agents of Change" DLC Content :)
Post any comments on your thoughts of each individual item added to the game
I'd add more questions but there's a limit so i guess someone else should make a poll on level caps, overall opinion, etc

Personally I really like the DLC, although i have been reading up that a lot of the stuff were ideas that were scrapped in the final stages of the game due to time constraints and other things but nonetheless i'm most excited about the new maps. Plus Splash Damage did say that this is their "first" DLC for Brink... implying they are going to have even more content for the game in the future.

i think patches are more important then dlcs.

a patch including: demo feature, fix bugs/lags/freezes, player models always over the other visual displays (for example objective coloured border), patching imbalanced things and so on.

im happy with the dlc, but patches are more importamt!

Totally stoked for the DLC. Just wish that the ATI issues would get resolved. I love the game thus far.

As a dedicated Soldier class i welcome Napalm grenades with open arms (Not quite literally though, because that would be quite stupid trying to hug a Live Napalm Grenade)

This poll pretty much had me clicking 'Love it' across the board, i can't wait for it too be released.

I [censored] LOVE YOU SPLASH DAMAGE!!!

2 New maps, attachments, costumes, and 5 new abilities?!?! That's fantastic news!!! AND IT'S FREE!!! I thought they would just give new maps and costumes but attachments and abilities as well?!?! Hell yea!!! Seeing that they added Bayonets, it seems they REALLY are paying close attention to customer feedback as this was something people asked for before release! Anyways Keep it coming Splamage and Bethesda!!!

Anyone who advocates postponing any DLC before patching clearly doesn't understand how things work. SD aren't pulling resources from other departments and are capable of working on both simultaneously. We will get our patches and we will get our DLC (in that order) and neither has to detract from the other. Have no worries.

As far as the DLC goes, everything seems good to me but the abilities which seem kinda redundant. No one is forcing me to buy those abilities so no foul.

not gana lie, i think the riot shield is stupid. Way stupid. Bayonet was kinda a lame break too, would have prefered various other silencer models, scopes, more underside attatchments such as perhaps different grip style, laser dots (improve hip fire).

Coulda used some more weapons, more things to shoot with is always nice. Perhaps a burst rifle that doesnt svck *cough*...

I'll judge the outfits when i see them... other then that, the abilities are abilities. They should have added ALOT more for giving us 4 more levels to run through... THAT... was a silly decision... It should have been 5, adding another 5* skill or two for each class, and then another, ultimate 6* ability...

I would have preferred seeing some new game modes or current missions expanded so they aren't quite so linear. Hopefully the new maps will be better designed. I am a little surprised to see the founders tower listed as a map though... I thought that would be a final destination, a climix to the revolution, not something I expected to see in the first DLC and it makes me wonder where they'll go after that.

The new abilities sound fine but I would have preferred more maps or game types over abilities since the current ones are fine and the fairly linear gameplay should really be focused on first.

I'm disappointed with the weapon attachments. If they follow the pattern with other attachments that is only two models(one each) and four textures(two each); not much at all. I would have rather seen additional silencers/scopes/etc that aren't just copied/pasted on every gun. Even adding the option of changing the color of your gun with presets like the clothes would have added so much more customization than a dinky shield and bayonet.

From the character outfit names I'm not particularly thrilled or disappointed, so we'll have to wait and see how they turn out.

New guns would have been nice, particularly with the weapons we currently only have one or two to choose from (shotguns/light rifles/etc).

Overall I'm feeling rather meh on the DLC. Can't really complain cause it's free but it's nothing spectacular.

Would be nice as an attachment if there were flame throwers, but I like the idea of bayonettes, don't see them in games a whole lot. I wish the melee combat would be improved tho.

And for the grenade explosions to not look lame.

It's crazy to me that people might be satisfied but still want more. I mean this is huge DLC, and it is free! Two maps for both sides to take offense, new attachments as well as abilities. Are people expecting a sequel as free DLC?

Agreeing with "patches are more important" - although there's minimal issues on the PS3, as far as I'm concerned...

Also, not voting on the poll until I've actually SEEN what's in the DLC.

You can have a pistol as your primary weapon, Scrub :P

But then you're limited to the other secondary weapons of said body-class

After reading about the content, I think it was just removed from the initial game pre-release even more; to be added as free DLC later to calm the waves which would be (were) caused by the questionable quality of the release-version.

But then again, free new content is always nice...

We need patches and fixes before we can enjoy the DLC. But I am pretty happy about the FREE DLC, plus they will be delivering more later on.

I think adding more than two maps would be nice, but I'm not going to complain if everything works. Once they do away with the lag, I wouldn't be surprised for more dlc to come.

Oh and.....

NAPALM GRENADES. WANT WANT WANT WANT WANT.
