Akaviri weapons and armor

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 6:27 am

My favorite weapons are the blades swords, or the akaviri katanas as I still call them, and my favorite armor is the blades armor. By a longshot. I wish there was a few more different styles of it and maybe a few more different akaviri swords or axes or something. The akavir should make a comeback soon.

The Akavir are too busy warring amongst themselves to mount another invasion this way, and with the Blades being rather defunct, I don't see much chance of Akavir weapons and armor being expanded on.

But I will say, they do have some pretty sweet katanas.

That's the only thing Japanese about them, the swords and architecture. The armor itself is closer to the Roman Segmenta, and everything else is very unknown about them. Well, other than they can do some wicked carvings. And even then, that only 1 of the races of Akavir who have that style, the Tsaesci, and we're not sure what the other 3 races use as styles.

Hopefully in future dlc's we can rebuild the blades and this will be expanded upon

The Blades are largely defunct, and until they can improve their attitude about Paarthurnax and how they do break their oath because they seem to think that the DB is their little dragon slaying pet, they're [censored] squatters in my temple.

And a visit to Akavir is a warrants a hells naw, as it's the mystery of that place that keeps it interesting. Much like how it's better to keep the dwemer gone forever, instead of popping out of holes one day (which would urinate all over existing lore and the Numidium)
