I beat it on Sgt. Stubby! He hadn't a clue, and apparently he had never been entered into the system. Sgt Stubby was a highly decorated dog who was promoted to the rank of sergeant in World War I and was among the coolest organisms to inhabit this planet, so it surprised me that he wasn't known.
[edit] Okay, tried Gorn and Diego from the Gothic series, and King Pog from Arx Fatalis. Beat it. Some of the questions between guesses were a bit divergent ( "uses sword, has killed other people, has been on Hannah Montana... )
I've met Akinator before, but this time I beat him in one try with Professor Henry Jarrod from the 1953 movie House of Wax. He guessed Hannibal Lecter, John Doe (from Se7en) and the guy from Saw... Gonna try more old movie characters now...
Akinator has a crappy record with me, apparently I know too many esoteric historical figures.
Yeah after seeing this I just tried a fairly obscure (but admittedly listed on Wikipedia) Frenchman who but got executed for attempted regicide, a few centuries ago. Its closest guess was Joan of Arc. Apparently historical is the way to go.

I have no idea. I think it was just out of ideas, as it asked me if my character was real three or four times. Edit: Heh, surprisingly, the character was in the database.

I assume you mean Damiens? I tried that and it guessed Louis XVI and Jean-Paul Marat. Much closer than yours but not quite right in either case...

Yep. I guess the order in which questions are asked in would explain the differing results. But I just went back and searched him, and found that he is in the database, so I'm not sure why it won't recognise him.

Well after I did it I entered him into the database That's how it works...
