I have always loved alchemy in these games its my most used skill and I always am looking for ingredients I find it addictive searching for them and I can't help but pick them as I explore the land.

Well my character loves playing around with potion-making but he (me) svcks at it. So it would kinda cool with a book on potions at least.

I won't give you spoilers but I found a book in a cave that had descriptions of where to find several ingredients and what they could be used for in potions. It was a good read. There is not a lot of that content in the game but it does exist.

I've done less with alchemy this time around, but the experimentation does seem fun. I've also never carried more than 2 health potions due to their weight, so they've had minimal effect on my gameplay. As is, those who want to use them heavily can, and those who don't can easily make a point of not loading their packs with them. I think that not being able to convert low-weight ingredients into potions in combat provides adequate balance.

I love the discovery mechanism, great implementation. I wish we had a lot more alchemy effects though.

Playing a healer/alchemist is great. should have taken more speechcraft perks, though, then the merchants might be able to afford more of the hundreds of 1200 odd value potions I have stashed away. Loving the blind experiment mechanic.
Somehow, I made a fortify health for 300 seconds potion, all the others are 60 seconds. No idea. Anyway, fortify health can be a life saver for a magicka heavy character, least that is what I have found, or it might just be my odd build.

I have but one question... Where?

Honestly, even if I wanted to tell you, I couldn't. I cannot remember where I found it, but the title implied that it might be an alchemy book, although it did not use the word "alchemy." You might check the booksellers for such titles. It had at least eight or ten recipes in it, and illustrations, one of the more useful books in the whole game.

Ok, thanks! I'll see if I can find such a book.

The weight system should have been the same as Oblivions, the heavier the ingrediant, the heavier the potion and vice versa. I also have to get Alchemy each time, and damn, i can never bring myself to use Pearls..... Too pretty to use

Does anyone know if you can harvest pearls anywhere? I haven't really explored the sea.

Alchemy in this game is very well done and implemented very well it has a great sense of discovery to it. I wish there was alot more effects than there is but I fuknd alchemy as addicting as ever. I cannot help but pick everything I rind store it and keep all ingredients and reagents then save them for later use.
