What do you mean by "strongest"? Most damage? Most useful in a fight?

And what is you Alchemy skill level / perking like? Because some poison recipes are totally weaksauce at low skill, and then get uber killy at high skill.

If its raw damage at low skill level you want, a good one is a one that causes weakeness to poison, health damage, and ravage health. That's easily done with {Skeever Tail, Small Antlers, [bleeding crown, charus egg, deathbell, giant lichen]}. Other recipes will do the same, but that's the one with easy ingredients. The nice thing about this one is you get two hits in a row without re-application, both causing substantial damage. (One from damage health + ravage health, one just ravage but boosted by weakness to poison.)

If you just want to win more fights at low levels, the many paralysis poison recipes are your best friend. Any two of Imp Stool, Swamp Fungal Pod, and Canis Root do the job on the cheap; all three are found in abundance in the swamp NE of Morthal.

An obviously deadly poison is anything that combines "weakness to poison" with "lingering damage health" - but there's (currently) no possible recipe that actually results in such an effect combination, because no single ingredient shares both effects.

A not so obviously deadly poison is anything causing "frenzy". Stealthy use of such a poison in any well guarded area ensures the targets death, if its potent enough to affect them.

Rarer, more expensive ingredients seem to make more powerful potions.

I don't use poisons, but I know a giant's toe used to make a Fortify Carry Weight potion will produce a better one than just using plants with the same property. I think this must work for poisons too.

Spoiler
Human flesh, imp stool and slaughterfish egg give damage health, lingering damage health and paralysis. Sounds good to me.

I usually combine an effect with posion like:

1-paralysis + damage health
2-slow + damage health
3-weakness to poison + damage health

and no u can't make a 10000+ damage potion :P

u can combine ravage health and damage health though in some cases for a double dose of poison

also some ingrediants are better than others such (fish have deadly effects not saying which though :P)

Does the weakness to poison take effect instantly with the same poison that administered it? Or will they be affected by the NEXT poison? In other words, will that damage health be stronger because of the weakness to poison with it?
