Is Alduin a big troll to Nords? : V

I recently made a new character in preparation for Dawnguard and I thought about making a Nord..so I made him and when I get to the part where Alduin is meant to land and cause chaos so you escape he just keeps flying around.

Tried three separate times and the same happened..finally gave up on the Nord and made an Imperial and it worked.

Well Akduin did cut their life span by half, though some nords do accuse Akatosh of doing this.

start a new character.
Its a bug from the 1.6 patch.

Alduin trolls you every once in awhile, he circle aboves and never sets down

I have never encountered this and I've made 3 or 4 different characters since 1.6 hope I don't get it now
