All Done with HH (PS3)

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 9:47 am

Just like DM most of the first reviews on this board were people saying "I finished it in 2 seconds" and the famous "What a ripoff"

As I figured these people must play a different fo than me. I went in at 244hrs came out at 277hrs. I got over 30 hrs out of HH. Hard/hardcoe, no fast travel, no cheat books, no wiki. I played it like I play fo........... no need to sprint to get quests done, I have my own agenda.

The begining was horrible, the staged slaughter of the caravan crew was just bad. I would have easily shot Follows Chalk if I hadn't read this board........ horrible. The begining was shaky at best.

The world was really great...... The Burned Man had a really good voice actor, and I really like what Obsidian did with him. I liked hearing his whole story from him. I liked that Obsidian entered taboo ground and took on a real world religion, and it made the Burned Mans story really good. The two followers were not great, but they had their moments.

ps3 word limit...... countiued

IMO, the majority of the people complaining did a speed playthrough. I myself took my time and enjoyed the DLC. <_<

I agree with the beggining but, hey, if you're in the heat of battle, you really dont think of these things unless you take it slow (or read the forums :teehee:). My first playthrough, I killed Follows-Chalk thinking he was part of the White Legs, and was promptly slaughtered by Graham afterwards. The thing people need to remember is always, ALWAYS, make a previous save, that way, if you [censored] up, you have something to fall back on.

Honestly though, I loved HH, and will keep playing the DLC with each playthrough. Is it because I'm a FO/TES addict? Most likely, but the only thing that matters is if you yourself enjoy the DLC. As long as you enjoy it, there really isnt anything anyone can say about it.

part 2

The survivalist story was really really good. Cant say enough about it. Bringing vault 22 dwellers in was a nice touch.

Leveled as high as I was hostiles were challenging. The White Legs carrying serious weapons was a good idea. The overall meat of the main story was meaningful, but there really was not a lot of it.

If they make a game where you can back pack who ever you want FTW the dlcs should not force you to go against a NV factions motives. If I was a cl fanatic I d be pissed. Im not sure what my cl guy will do..... alot of killing I guess. lol

So I give HH a 7.5....... DM got a 9.0. Fo nv overall stands at 7.25 with 2 dls to go.
Fo3 overall 8.75

HH well worth $9.99 I m happy I bought it. It was better than a lot of people on this board made it sound.

Yeah.. I always wonder what game people are playing whenever they say they finished really fast also. I think there are just certain people who have no idea how to play an open world game so all they must do is run from one quest to the next. I'm one of those people that loves to find and do everything there is to in one go.. I have to keep a piece of paper handy so I can write down things I've done and things I feel I need to explore or whatever so I don't get lost.
Anyway... I'm the same as you. I went in at around 245 minutes and came out about 270. I then spent about an hour back in Novac sorting all my new goodies into their proper places and playing dress up.

I think I spent 1 hr trying to drop from t45d pa and 257lbs to 75 lbs. Then I go back figure I ll talk to these other people before we set off...... well I ll be damned there is a way to get 100lbs. So back to the 38 trying to figure out what to wear and what weapons and how much ammo to bring again lol

I guess alot of people finished HH 2 or 3 time before I even figured out what I was taking/wearing. I had almost 2 hrs involved in that alone lol

its still pretty short. theres not much to explore since this is obsidian, just a bunch of landmarks. only places worth going to are clark's caves. and all the short fetch quests, yea HH is short as hell even if you take your time. so far obsidian has made up for the lack of stuff to do with great stories and writing, but HH barely even has a story, let alone a good one. i give it like a 6, which while still good is the lowest ive ever given fallout content.

Well, it wasn't as short as I expected but not as long either. I completed HH in about 8 hours, while discovering and exploring all locations except for 3. It's still a blast to play though.

I agree, HH had some flaws, but overall I loved it. I personally liked it much more than Dead Money.

Hmm, a lot of love for Honest Hearts here...
Ahem, I thought it's bad points outweighted it's good points, making the DLC almost crap..
Now the universe is stabilized again. :)

Can't figure out how you got 30 hours out of it.
Sure, eliminating fast-travel rakes up some more minutes/hours but 30?
I just find that hard to believe as there really isn't that much content in HH to exploit that many hours from.
