All for Nothing

Let me start off by saying that first FNV is a great game and has brought me many hours of enjoyment and second I was to commend the developers on it.

However I have a problem on my PS3,

I have recently decided to do one big play through with all possible allies at the end, and most of the marked and unmarked side missions (still working on these). I decided to side with the NCR because I haven't done it yet and I started up the last mission. It was running smoothly until I got to the second part of the dam, after the check point, and I walked half-way to my destination but my game froze. So I restarted and the second time I only got a quarter of the way there then it froze, then the third it just froze right after I entered the area. I restarted like six more times however I never got any farther than the second try. My guess is just that there is too much going for the game engine to handle and I'm like really pissed off cause I have put a lot of time in to it and its all for nothing. Just whats the point to have all this stuff for the ending if all its gonna do is crash the game before I finish?

I just felt like sharing and I would like some comments about how to fix this, or maybe have you had an experience like mine

Your lucky you got all the way to the end before the screen freezing started. it usually starts with me about level 15. The last mission is really bad for freezing, i just kept trying till it finally got through it. Its a pain but just keep trying it

The same happens to me every time I start getting at higher levels it would start to freeze, buts its like ridiculous at the last mission I can't even walk without it freezing and I do not have the patience to go through the restart process twenty different times just to get to legate's camp

You're PS3 is most probably overheating. It's happened to me when I play too long. Wait a day or so and if you're lucky, it'll be fixed. And if you have repetitive crashes like you say you have, you might want to get your PS3 checked out.

My PS3 is 5 months old. The freezing also happens 30 minutes after turning the machine on, played NV today and it froze twice in 30 minutes! so it cant be overheating, It also plays every other game fine. Its definitely the game that has the problems

I have found lately internet disabled helps game run a bit better, but its different everyday... one day almost no crashes or freezin, the next day I'll stop playing it within an hour due to severe lag and crashes!!
