I am not too prone to arachnaphobia. Spiders make me go 'Ew' a little bit. But I can handle them.

What I can not handle, however, is walking on the path out of Morthal and thinking everything is all calm and fine when suddenly, a giant spider jumps out from under the snow and pounces at me! A big scary spider in a dungeon is one thing, hiding in the snow is too extreme!

So no-one else had a spider jump out of the snow at them???

Maybe but we know it's a game and spiders in it are pixels, yea the jump factor is there for some, but scary spider? come on...

It probably wouldn't be so bad except they are the size of Volkswagens - If I see them coming it's not too bad, but when they jump out of no where that would be scary!

if you are in a dungeon you know to expec them, especially if there are cobwebs everywhere. but when daydreaming on a nice stroll along a road outside, it catches you unawares. you have been warned....

I was reading your post trying to figure out how this was a spoiler when I finally realised my mistake.

There's been a few times when I jumped in my seat when a spider surprised me.

After I killed it in humilating anger, I sat back and realized..."Damn this is a good game." And I fell in love with Skyrim all over again.

And I'm not even afraid of spiders.

Not a spider but same effect (jump, high rate beat, wireless mouse on the floor) with a freaking Draugr Scourge (i believe), when suddenly sent me flying with a Shout.

I am deadly aracnophobic. I sshiit bricks when I have to face these creatures even in game. I had once to face a Spider from Amazonia (I do not live in the forest, if you're thinking about it. Not even near). I don't know how the hell that freaky spider got into my home.

That made me freeze. Specially because that FUCH is pure-venom.

Anyway.. I would punch my monitor with a lurking spider.
