Its nice seeing positive newbie comments. I remember discovering morrowind for the first time and becoming hooked instantly. Oblivion was just the same and skyrim of course has eaten up alot of my life....thank god my boyfriend plays this too so theres no relationship issues. Im sure TES has destroyed a few marriages, perhaps even strengthened a few lol

I run a stream every night 8pm PST. We all hang out, talk about random stuff and I play dead is dead skyrim. Basically if I die I delete the character. Tons of fun for everyone. If you want jump in tonight to satisfy your itch for skyrim while being social and technically not playing lol. Website is in my sig.

First time player as well - great game. I find myself being more of a role of a tank; charge in and bash away with a 2 hander (except for giants) Laughed my butt off the first time I got sent a mile high but a giant on the first blow. I have about 20 hours in on my first character levle 13. Wife and kids limit my actual play time.

On a good PC with ultra settings on everything its FANTASTIC. But otherwise its good on every platform.

As for character choice, for a very entertaining experience go completely opposite of your normal rpg choices. Never played an archer in any game before (like myself) then do it. Not usually a mage? Try one....or are you normally a certain type of mage like fire lightning and ice? How about changing that up for strictly conjuring. How about sneak/thief/dagger character or sneak/illusion. I could go on and on, and im sure it will happen like that when you reach that character creation again. /

Long story short, go completely opposite of what you would choose and stick to it. Learning techniques with very unfamiliar skills can be challenging and fun.

Yeah man, I played something like 200 hours in the first six weeks, if you can believe it. But I didn't hang out in the forums all that time, and I am glad.
