ammo crafting

Until they allow us to craft missiles or 40mm grenades I have no need to make my own ammo in this playthrough.

I use Plasma weapons so I dont craft ammo, I do however recycle microfusion cells.

As for the other ammo, I just buy them off the gun-runners :)

I hope you then convert them into overcharged MF Cells, they give the Gauss Rifle ridiculous amounts of DPS. :nuke:

I find it kind of frustrating, honestly. The whole point of hardcoe mode from my perspective, personally, was a heightened sense of realism. That goes out the window when I've got an inventory full of weightless stuff. I made a character with super-low Strength to compensate, but you need high Strength to use lots of weapons, so I guess I have to go back to arbitrary inventory limits...

if you have a PC, you could use the console and do player.setcarryweight -100 (or whatever)

Honestly I haven't done much reloading of ammo, and this is going to make me sound like an idiot, because I don't know how. Yes I know you use the shells of spent ammo you've used and then you buy the primer from merchants and get the lead from scrap metal. The thing I'm having trouble with is the powder. I've bought the jars of powder from the merchants and as far as I can tell it's the right powder and I'm sure I have the right amount but when I go the bench it says I need just powder, not the jar of powder. Do I need to do something to the jar to turn it into normal powder? When I've broken down ammo I'm carrying I get the powder I need so I guess I'm just confused. Do you only get the powder from breaking down ammo?

Due to ahem quirks in the the game, you need to drop it or place it in a container and pick it up again for it to register.

Ah that makes sense. Thanks, I'll try that out and hopefully be able to enjoy that part of the game.

I love creating my own ammo. Mainly because I stick with .44 and a Sniper Rifle. I break down my other ammo and create those 2. Works great. I have so much ammo for both weapons at this point I don't think I'll ever run out. But I sure can try. ;D

I never use it, too much of a hassle to take all the junk to an ammo crafting bench.

Don't really use survival either for the same reason,. if they allowed the player to cook on stoves inside houses, i would definitely use it to make the expensive/healthy meals

The only "handy-man-skill" i use is repair... weapon kits make good profits :D

I've been able to keep my hunting/sniper rifle fully supplied with just crafting.

I like using ammo crafting to disassemble rounds for guns I don't use to make ammo for the ones I do use.
