Ammo Switching Bug

I tried searching, but didn't see anything like this bug, so I apologize if it has been posted before. I recently started taking advantage of crafted ammo. I broke down pretty much every piece of ammo I could break down. I then created hand loaded .308 rounds and .357 rounds. I still have found/bought hollow point rounds, but no regular rounds for either gun.

For the .308's I am using the regular sniper rifle, and have now recently found the Gobi SR.
For the .357's I am using Lucky, and have also tried this with a regular 357 magnum.

From time to time the game gets stuck on hollow points, and I cannot switch the ammo types through the pip boy. If it was AP, or Regular (of which I have none anyway) it wouldn't be as big a deal since they are still pretty effective against most enemies. But the HP rounds are awful against anything with decent DT so it renders that gun useless.

This has happened on several other guns, on earlier playthoughs when I played with crafting, but since I didn't craft much, it wasn't that big an issue. I suspect part of the issue is that I don't have any regular rounds. I crafted some .308 hand loaded rounds earlier, but didn't breakdown all my regular ammo, and I had no issues whatsoever. I did figure out that if I drop the gun, and pick it back up, I can switch ammo again. I believe the problem happens when I map the gun to a shortcut key, though I'm not entirely sure that is when it happens. Obviously dropping the gun can be quite dangerous when fighting a deathclaw :)

Anywho, just figured I'd report the issue.

Thanks for listening... Children!

PS, I am using some mods, but this happened on my vanilla playthough as well
