So, I did a few quests in Riften and got he Amulet of Mara on my guy (as in male)...now when ever I go and talk to one of the possible Male companions they are interested in me...Really?! Is that a bug or openminded option from the Devs?

The Amulet of Mara is the symbol in Skyrim that says "Hey, I'm available and looking to marry!" People in Skyrim only wear them in front of people they wish to propose to, so you wearing the amulet around your neck and talking to the male companions is the equivalent of going down on one knee with a ring. You might be seeing how they could be getting the wrong idea.

Don't wear the Amulet of Mara unless you want to marry the person you are talking to in other words!
