What do you guys do to save battery life? I have to charge it everyday, even if I don't use it a lot. I don't use facebook, the only stuff which auto download from the internet are my email account (once every hour) and the weather (once every 3 hours). I've got a static background, and brightness is low (not auto brightness).

Also, should I charge my mobile (wildfire S) only when the battery is really low? I charge it frequently.

I manage to get ~14-16 hours on my original Droid. I turn it on airplane mode fairly often. I keep brightness auto. Turn off Wifi and Bluetooth and GPS. I only go out of airplane mode when I have it out of my pocket. (It helps me to not pocket dial people)

(Also I always carry my charging cable in my back pocket, never know when I need to charge or transfer files)

Best way is root and install a fresh ROM to get all the crap off of there that may be draining your juice in the background. If you're lucky you can underclock with the ROM too. Has any new rooting methods that don't involve hardware come out for your phone yet? Still looks like you need the Clip to unlock the bootloader from my quick google search.

Download JuiceDefender. I used to get low battery life but now it lasts all day with a lot more battery left.

I don't own an Android, but I'm sure it's similar to an iPod touch (ie. similar to iPhone).
Turning off bluetooth and wifi when you aren't using them, turning down brightness, disabling equalizers (don't know if Android has them, but they svck battery life), disabling sounds like keyboard tapping clicks or notifications (again, relating to my iPod touch, but should be the same) and the obvious don't use it all the time.

Despite this, I have to charge my iPod every 2 days. I think it has something to do with the fact when I do charge it, I leave it plugged in for a while even though it's at 100%. I've heard this isn't good for any battery, correct me if I'm wrong.
