In places where people have dogs, I have not noticed them helping me at all.

Could we maybe get something along the lines of a mysterious stranger with a mole rat face? Or like some mole rats attacking, just to be funny, even if its weak damage.

Or like if you have wild wasteland, rank 2 of animal friend is what gives him a mole rat face.

I don't think Animal Friend applies to dogs in that way. I have noticed Wasteland animals helping me in fights, but never someone's dog. Then again, I may not have been around any dogs while in a fight since taking it.

Well, it makes sense that dogs owned by people wouldn't help you with that perk. See if animals in the wasteland will do anything; if they are helping you, then I'm guessing it works as intended.

Well I thought it worked on dogs owned pets this time. I thought I saw a note about that on the wiki.

If it does not, then there is not much reason to get a second rank, because most of the animals that would aid you with the second rank, would likely already attack with the first rank, as they would naturally be hostile to it.

Just wondering if anyone knew if it was working. Maybe they could tell me in what way.

Although, my main reason for posting... is because I want to be aided in combat by the mysterious mole rat. Mole rat with a coat and 44.

Animals Respawn, so most of the ones that you killed while not having the Perk would come back, and by getting Level 1 you would stop killing most of the animals.

Besides, when a Bighorner comes and tramples a foe in front of you, it is quite satisfying.

And, come to think of it, I do remember Dogs helping me in one fight, but I think they were generic ones, not owned.

Yeah, I am just saying, it looks like the 1st rank does almost the same thing as the 2nd rank, as it did in fallout 3.

I think most of the animals that would come to your aid with the 2nd rank, would have already been hostile to your target with the 1st rank, and attacked anyway.

Unless there is something I am missing. I have 2nd rank in it, and I have not seen animals going out of their way to help me. Seems like they have to be pretty close before they help me at all.

I did use it once, letting geckos attack people by running into them, so that I would not get negative faction, but they would have attacked anyway with only the 1st rank.

It would be cool if someone knew of a use for it I have not seen yet though.
