Fern Gully and the Rainforest. Not for "The rest of my life" but for several years. When I first watched it I was deathly afraid of skeletons, and at one point in the movie the bad guy is wrapped up in this purple dark cloud and his power is crackling around him, and it outlines what my young mind saw as a hideous skeletal figure. I was totally not expecting it, and was in fact watching it as I fell asleep for the night. Needless to say, I did not sleep well that night at all.

I wouldn't call it "scarred", but I'll never forget The Brave Little Toaster, especially the song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UfsEj7AOGI. Some context for those who haven't seen it: in the movie, machines and general household appliances are secretly alive (sort of like Toy Story, but with pretty much anything electrical), and they view the humans who create, own, use, and maintain them as, basically, gods. The main characters have trekked across the country to find their missing owner, only to find he has newer appliances, who convince them he wouldn't even want his outdated things back and trick them into being sent to a junkyard. There they watch as broken cars that have been discarded by humans are crushed, singing their own elegy in their last moments. It's a powerful and depressing scene.

I once watched part of an anime that left me scarred, as in I've hated everything anime ever since. I think it was called Akira, and my friend insisted I watch it. I wanted to punch him for making me sit through even part of it. Then he tried making me watch something called Vampire Hunter D, and I flat out refused.

While it hasn't scarred me, I'd say the most er.. disturbing animated movie I've seen is End of Evangelion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ay174Yvnx7s#t=1m39s :hehe:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104254/ I vaguely remember watching this at a local theater as part of a school trip. I may need to watch it again.

A movie I remember freaking me out when I was little was http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118617/. Sadly I don't remember much about it besides the villain Rasputin and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ocm8QdNR_d8. I really need to watch this again, too.

Doesn't his flesh literally melt off his bones in the end? Definitely one of the creepier movies I saw as a child...

Too much singing and dancing in those movies.

Not sure. I only remember that there was something about the final showdown scene that really freaked me out. That might have been it.
