An "annoying fan/man" in FNV?

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 11:41 pm

In Oblivion, you had that yellow haired, high pitched, emo wood elf who I would rather toss off dive rock that keep him alive.

In Fallout 3, you had Sticky, that story-tellin' idiot who I slaughtered then cut him up into thousands of pieces.

What would you want in Vegas?

I would like a annoying yellow haired storytellin high-pitched person who always respawned!

Thoughts?

Not at all, I don't want a pansy fan-boy character following me around and annoying the hell out of me unless I choose to have that fate brought upon me. :tops:

For the Wild Wasteland trait, this should actually happen! But without it, no, none of that lame ass humour.
It could be like the pariah dog encounter, he should be really hard to kill and follow you around everywhere.

A gambling addict who keeps asking you for money to bet with, he never shuts up about it. He claims he'll make it big and split the profits but he just keeps asking for even more caps than before and occasionally just comes back drunk and vomits in the gutter outside the casino.

You can occasionally catch him behind you in sneak mode stealing caps out of your inventory.

Nah that annoying fan/man is Bethesda's thing.
Obisdian could come up with something of their own.

The best annoying character has already been mentioned a few times: Pariah Dog....
I'll be surprised if there isn't some reference to this in the game, perhaps even part of the Rex companion quest?

Wasn't there a guy in Morrowind (or one of it's expansions) who kept asking for more and more money, and then got angry at you if you stopped giving it to him?

Or am I misremembering...... been so long since I played that one. :)

Gaenor, the damn near indestructible.

@Dr. Chaos: I like your idea with the gambler.

I was able to consistently jump onto a rock outcrop at the top of the big stairway he confronts you on, and as such avoid his attacks. The trick was having a weapon long enough to hit him with without him touching you.... The battle is way too long to be fun, though.

Yep, that was one method of getting through it.

To those unfamiliar with Morrowind, Gaenor was a wood elf from the Tribunal expansion that had a buffed amount of Luck. The result was, most melee attacks were a miss. He only became hostile if you initiated conversation with him, so unless I was in dire need of his armor, I just passed him by. It really was a tedious battle. :P

Along with this, we need a ghoul that wears cowboy boots and a hat named Bubba

A would-be wasteland explorer. Hes easily intimidated and always says something like:

Hey, hey you seen a death claw right? You've killed a death claw before haven't you, am I right? I bet I could take a deathclaw!

You know theres always radscorpions around, I wonder if we can find some of their eggs and train them to do flips and ride them! Wait that might not be a good idea to ride them with that stinger of theirs. Ever pissed off a Bighorner? The thing is you don't.

Hey, hey, hey! Lets check out that cave over there,

Hey lets go say hy to that guy with the giant mohawk and spear! Hey look hes also carrying a launcher. I'll think I'll wait over here you can go say hy to him if you want though, but me? I'll stay back here, you should most definately chat with him for directions.

A very naive fortune hunter thats very annoying and a bit too curious for his own good.

As payback, Obsidian will have the Annoying Fan forever chained to a rack in New Vegas in an abandoned Caesar's Legion camp.
