Annoying grafical bug

Post » Tue Mar 29, 2011 9:41 pm

Sometimes all rocks and roads on screen start to blink green. Usually after using right mouse button. Usually when loking N-NE.

Day:

Any ideas? It's very annoying.

If you have mods loaded, try disabling them one by one until you find the offending mod.

It's not mods. Without mods it happens with Boone or Rex, with mods - all with similiar effects, like Adv Recon.

You have problem with reading? Steam is SELLING pirated games? And, BTW, i HAVE Windows 7. Not pirated, btw.

Even if you disable them it doesnt mean it isnt a mod. Did you install any replacer mods?
Does this happen with a new game (all mods disabled)?

Could be some texture that got installed by a mod.
Try using ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated! or deleting your \Data\Textures\ directory (back it up first! or just move it).
See if deleting the textures does anything. You can restore the directory afterwards.

It happens before i start to use mods.

Doesn't help.

Found interesting fact: with Fraps recording video it never happens.

Hm, maybe a driver issue? Check if you are using recent drivers for your graphic card.
Also I remember seeing a similar issue under Oblivion (same engine) that was connected to multi-core cpu's.

Check the Fallout 3 tweaking guide (google it) for multicore ini settings, maybe that could help.

Drivers are most recent.
