At around 1.4, my character decided to turn invisible, completely out of the blue. I had heard of a glitch like this before, where the character would turn invisible after helping somone at the college. This glitch could be fixed by using beast form, or by loading a previous save. I don't think my bug is the same one though.
The problems are as follows:
-NPCs can still see me
-particle effects, like fog, do not show through my character, making a kind of ghostly silhouette
-certain spells that have a glowing effect, like ebonyflesh or muffle, make my character visible for the duration of the spell
-other effects, like burning and freezing do the same thing
-when changing armor, my character becomes visible but becomes invisible again once I leave the character menu
-my weapons and spells are still visible, so they just kinda float around
-when my character vanishes, there's a fading animation similar to the animation used on people who turn to ashpiles. I'm most confused by this.

To fix it, I've tried becoming ethereal, using the vampire lord transformation, and reloading. I even tried loading a past save, only to have it happen again. Nothing's worked and I can't find anyone else with this bug. Any ideas?

Actually, just solved it. I used vampire lord while I had ebonyflesh active. My visibility carried over to the lord for.m, and back over to the original.
I would solve it righf after I posted on a forum about it-_-
