I'm looking at one of them right now and the names of the files are things like "socialservices","publicrelations","police",etc.

I don't know the contents of them since I don't have a program that can open .sql files right now.

Edit:
Looking at some of it,it's basically names, phone numbers, addresses, etc of people in the government, some schools and some other things.

And:

Starting with the userbase of Zimbabwe, rather small: http://bit.ly/mPQZWQ | But wait, we have some major U.S. companies left. #AntiSec

Looks like some US companies are getting their data leaked soon O.o

As usual, so, that's names of actual people and their passwords that get leaked ? I suppose plastering people's info on the net is what fights "corruption in governments". There was also another release last night - paypal and bitcoin account info. (*edit* D3V29, the "new" group that release the bitcoin hack passwords, is asking for bitcoins donations.)

Unfortunately, it's recruiting many daily, from lots of countries. I only hope if and when they cut the snakes head off, the rest of the body dies as well. But for some reason, I feel that that will make a martyr of said person, and make them grow ever stronger in numbers. :shakehead:

Looks like last week's "Chinga La Migra" strike against the Arizona Border Police was only part one—the sequel's landed today, and this time it's personal. Like, really personal: Anonymous is claiming social security numbers, girlfriend pics, and more.

The dumps contents—if they're authentic—will be a massive slap not only to the integrity of Arizona's state security, but the lives of its police force.

Anonymous sure bad mouths the police in that article. Everybody hates them until you need them.
Also, who are they to judge? Who made them the defenders of good? I have news for them: They are human and prone to the same mistakes that everyone else makes. Don't let a rabbit judge a rabbit for being a rabbit.

These hackers are not out for good, they are just out for their 15 seconds of attention. The fact that so many innocent people not a part of government corruption are included in their actions, that's a very obvious sign you have people out to just create chaos and the reasons stated is bunk. I praise people like Assange for what they do because it promotes transparency, even wanting to like these guys, I can't, and the fact that people note they directly screw over regular people shows they won't gain any sympathy no matter where they go. Their 15 seconds will pass just as quickly and boring as it came.

That's just a kid (probably) that has already apologized (via prompting and scolding by Sabu, yeah really) so it may or may not be a true threat. But by reading his other tweets, he's just a hot-headed teen, who hopefully isn't half a bubble out of plumb...

I like how they made it out that the government is the bully, yet they are the ones taking all personal/private data and releasing it.

What a bunch of [censored]s.

If this is connected to the LulzSec/AntiSec attacks, they likely already did when they released info about undercover police operations in Arizona.

Our advice to you is to quit while you still can and turn on your commanding officers before you end up in our cross hairs next, because we're not stopping until every prisoner is freed and every prison is burned to the ground.

It's not about politics, or government. It's just some wacked out idiots doing it for the lulz, remember? If they were truly in in for "government corruption" they would only be targeting government contacts/groups/affiliations. They are hurting innocent people, but disguising it under government corruption causes. Also, in my opinion, they decided to dock the lulzboat and hide back in anonymous, because people were/are getting too close to exposing them, and there is safety in numbers. ;) Recruit as many as they can to hide behind...Also, they do ask for bitcoin donations, quite frequently, to, you know, help further their cause. ;)
