Another Dragon. Great.

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 1:57 pm

Is anyone else getting fed up with the nearly constant dragon attacks? At first it was 'Holy S**t a dragon, better save before i fight!' Now its ' Oh come on I've got over 30 unused souls and Im clearly unbeatable by dragons, so why do they insist on getting slaughtered by the incredible Dovakiin?
Im not saying that dragons should completely disappear after the main story but the fights are simply too frequent.
It would be great if, say, 10 dragon souls could be used to unlock another perk.

I also find the ruggedness of Skyrims terrain not entirely to my liking and the people are for the most part unfriendly and rude.

Dont get me wrong I still love the game and it still deserved GOTY especially when they sort out a few minor bugs such as the PS3 long play issues ( Grrrrrrrrrrrr) then it will be the best game since Oblivion and the best game untill The Elder Scrolls VI.

Yeah, I feel the same way about wolves and bandits too. They should know by now I'm a god.

I'd like a little bit of realism with bandits attitude, if I slaughter 3 bandits and their leader, you'd think the last bandit would run?

I don't get many dragons. They mostly occur after a fast travel, and even when I do, I stumble upon them maybe once an hour?

Its handy if you ever plan on crafting dragonbone or dragonscale armor as you need a large supply of the dragon bits.

Another dragon here to lick my boots and donate its soul. Good job.

It would be nice if they could make it a bit more interactive with your level. Instead of 5 enemies(at most, usually) at one time, lets make it a bit interesting....send 30 Thalmor after me. That might make it more interesting. If nothing else it would take me a few trips to haul all the freshly dropped loot back to sell.

One of the most memorable fights I have yet had was where I had a wolf pack come after me, then as they were dying out, a group of spiders came up, followed by a couple of bears and lastly a troll. Now that was a fun fight. And once I have actually had a tangle with an elder Dragon and a regular dragon at the same time. I even pulled out my good shield and put on my helm for that fight.

I find skeevers more interesting than dragons at this point. They are FAR more scarce. And they at least still startle me at high levels. Dragons just evoke sighs.

I've been having the opposite problem. The dragons seem to be averse to donating souls - I've had to actively seek out their lairs.

I agree completely TC.

Walk outside of Whiterun, a dragon attacks. Run for two minutes, a dragon attacks. Go complete a quest, a dragon attacks. Go back to town, a dragon attacks.

There's just so many of them, every where I go.

after the main quest they should only be at there own lairs that way you can still get souls and not be bothered by them dragons are extremely annoying

Those are pretty standard in Elder Scrolls games.
What is NOT standard is that Skyrim does not have the ability to jump over all those insane mountains and cliffs... and the people can't be convinced to like you.
Horses are the new mountain-ascenders (but useless at descending), and Speech is the new Mercantile (but useless for making anyone like you).

I must be lucky; I played about 6 hours this weekend; only had 1 dragon and that was coming back to Dawnstar laden with a bunch of stuff. I don't fast travel either as the other poster said above; not sure if that's why I don't get so many.

I usually love fighting the Dragons and if I don't want to fight them I'll start up a different file and not do the main quest.

Probably.
My standard routine is:
#1. Decide to start a quest.
#2. Head to the location of the quest to begin.
#3. Dragon Fight.
#4. Try to go through a dungeon with my inventory full of dragon-bones, reducing my carrying capacity massively.

... Every time.
I've even taken to leaving the dragon bones behind and only taking the scales. -_-;

I wish dragons were rare, and much, much harder to beat.....but I am pretty sure it's already been said many times and by many people.

I always thought it couldn't be a coincidence that the SS icon looks like a mirror trollface.
