Large patches generally take time particularly when the issues aren't easily to reproduce, identify, and fix. The game has been out for a little more than a week and while some things have been fixed the bigger issues will unfortunately take more time.
From my understanding all XBox 360 and PS3 releases must pass through MS's/Sony's internal QA before release. This includes DLCs and patches in addition to the games themselves.

Seen as how Sony has nothing to do with these companies, and internal still means "not the general public" , my point still remains, they would not have these issues if they would let more of the public Beta test what they have.
I have had buggy games before, and waited for a patch, but never one that actually stopped my game play.
Its no use in arguing with moderators on here anyways, the last one I talk to directly told me the last gaming console he had any dealings with was an NES.
