Spoiler
Well, you might be right. I found fighting Alduin in Sovngarde together with three other warriors nothing special.
He was simply another dragon, with higher stats.

Actually I had a harder time getting to him than the actual fight.

Oblivion was awesome.

Edit: Added spoiler tags.

I was really into the Theives Guild ending, and am enjoying being the boss man. The only thing that irks me, is in the Quest informtion when you hit Start, it now tells me I've done 0 (zero) Thives GUild Quests.

I'm wondering, why did it reset when I finished the Quest line?

Spoiler heavy topic here....

Anyway, yes. Near all of them are. The DB is okay as is the TG... But I would have liked both to be longer and a little diffferent in their respective endings. The fight against Alduin wasn't what I expected but then again no boss ever really is, I prefer to forget about the quest lines of the CoW and Companions

yeah i had a harder time getting to the final fight as well. it took me 3 tries to get in to the feast hall of sovernguard then to kill Alduin. once i got past it though it was easy all i had to do was avoid the special shouts and fire my arrow the npc did most of the damage as well. but i have to say atleast there was a final fight this time in oblivion you watched an epic cut-seen but still that was better i suppose.

Take the thieves gulld for example after you go and bring it back to it's glory, you stand on a carpet, handed some armor and that's about it, you dont realy feel like you acomplished anything.

I meant the ending, the gates were horrid.
I got a mod that adds a spell that could insta-close any gate from the outside. Very useful indeed.

Oh that's what you meant by "anticlimatic". You probably meant "anticlimactic". Okay, that's what happens in real life; you rarely get the feeling you accomplished anything even if you did. People are so ungrateful... ;)

Lot lot lot lot more difficult to beat a High Level Draugh than Alduin

Using Full Legendary Daedric Armor + Shield

and GUARD it, the alduin just cry like a baby, but the draugh, it got me ragged doll...

this is my opinion but i think that takes too much from the game D: it makes it even more boring to close the gates if you ask me

Ending? This game doesn't end until you choose it to. If there was some climatic ending to the main quest, people would be here complaining about how their game didn't allow for them to continue their personal quests. They have a good balance between the two competing wishes. You can't have them make the game you want, because other people might not want it that way. Use your imagination to fill in the differences. If you want a climatic end to the main quest... make up your own.

That's the main reason I've never touched main quests in all Bethesda released sandbox RPGs since MW.

The problem with the Alduin fight is it's like the fight with the first dragon, You have people fighting with you and they're much more awesome then those guards. Them+you is just way too much for even Aluduin to handle.

Civil war quest line, yes
Companion guild line, yes
College guild quest line, not anti-climatic but surely a 'w-t-f' situation
Main quest... no final fireworks but not bad either.

I think its quite obvious he means that the quest conclusions arent impactful enough; this is nothing to do with wanting the quest to end and not being able to finish personal quests.

The ending to Oblivion was awful!
Spoiler
Not only do you just sit there while someone else saves the day but you're also forced to watch a horribly animated scene where someone else saves the day. Afterwards everyone has the audacity to say you're some sort of hero. If you're going to have the player freeze up and watch someone else beat the final boss, then don't rub it in my face!

In conclusion, if you came to TES looking for a nice story, you're not going to get one.

Alduin can be beaten at level 8 on master.
