It's one of my favorite movies it's hilariously bad and so very entertaining, it's where I got my screen name from. It was a widely expensive film for the time and yet the special effects are terrible, directed by Hal Needham who is most famous for his movie Smokey and the bandit. Millions of dollars in advertising and video games went to waste when this movie became a huge bomb. Everyone involved was serious about trying to jump start a major motion picture franchise, Hal Needham even announced a sequel before the first came out called Megaforce 2: Deeds not Words. This movie has yet to be released on DVD.I watched this endlessly as a kid in the 80s and if you get the encore action channel it pops up every once in awhile there.
