Any News?...

It's been a while since Quake Arena Arcade's been released. We're all just wondering if the developers are (still) working on a patch to fix some of the bugs/glitches/issues? Any information would be very much helpful! Thanks!

Here's something interesting. I registered as JohnnyK98 (like my Gamertag) and when I type my name to log in, I type JohnnyK98... But my posts show as JohnnyK99. Conspiracy?

So there's a random video of Hunter doing her 'thang'.

If they won't patch the game, I would just say, play the game to keep it alive. I been playing this game non-stop since the release date although I had connection issue, but it seems like I can go online real smoothly now. Due to that reason, I kind of stop playing this game because I'm getting sick of it :P.

Personally, I don't see much point in supporting a game if the developers don't care for the community and have no intentions in bettering the game (let alone check up on their community forums).

We're not asking for a miracle here. We understand that QAA is an XBLA arcade title, not a retail game selling for $60. We're just asking to get a finished quality product here. A lot of us were anticipating this game for a really, really long time now. QAA was something I really wanted to sink my teeth into.

It takes one minute to go on the forums and give us a little update like "Hey guys, we're still working on a patch to fix some of the bugs and lag issues! Sit tight, and be on the lookout for some upcoming DLC. See you in the arenas!"

I'll still be playing QAA for the next couple of weeks hoping we get something. If not then it looks like I'm gonna cancel my Xbox Live Gold membership (one of us already has, and also got a full refund on QAA, check the Xbox.com forums). It's time to stop complaining and take action. Society's turning into a bunch of pushovers. Not me!

Happy fragging!

The worlds smallest violin is playing for the Quake Arena Arcade community, were like trees falling in the forest... nobody hears us.

You said exactly the same 2 months ago, how is the communication at Bethesda ?!
Maybe give the developer a call and check if he's still sleeping under his desk :P

Hope they didn't lie to us. That wouldn't be very professional.

There's more people buying this game, but that doesn't mean more people are playing. I guess a lot of the players are so fed up with the long awaited patch that they've stopped playing altogether. :(

Here's a good question though about the 'Arena Eternal' achievement; do you have to play in ranked matches to earn it? I've had some friends say that they've played over 500 player matches (and I believe it) but the achievement isn't activating. I've seen only one player have it, and he's in the top ranked leaderboards. God knows how he earned it seeing as nobody plays ranked matches anymore (seriously I've been searching and hosting matches for over a week).

Even I stopped playing q3aa, waiting for a patch.
It's a shame as this game had quit some potential.
In the meantime i'm at Black Opps, bye bye Bethesda :cryvaultboy:

I agree and not only that and I think with the lack of specator mode-it can be very frustrating for beginners to learn I guess. We live in a day where games like COD and Halo rules the online FPS world unlike in the 90s where it was all about UT, Q3A, CS, Starsiege: Tribes, and a couple of more. Those games aer nothing compared to the MP shooters we had in the 90s.

Spectator mode made a huge impact on how I play by just simply watching the better player and seeing what he/she does to make he/she a better player than me. Not only that, it's really good to just sit back and relax. When I'm hosting games and I'm playing like 2 hours straight and I see new players come in, I feel bad for them, because I'm just tired and I have to leave to ruin their fun.

Has anyone given Pi Studios any complaints yet? Since they are the developers of this game.
