I know it's a longshot posting on this forum, since it seems pretty vacant. But I'm wondering if there's any Quake 4 players using ASUS soundcards (Xonar series)? My question involves EAX support. I recently purchased this game on STEAM and was surprised to see EAX HD accessible in options. Unfortunately, enabling EAX resulted in lower volume.. and that's about it. I could not detect any improved reverb or occlusion effects, which is what EAX is supposed to offer. So my question is to anyone playing (or have played) Quake 4 on a ASUS Xonar soundcard with EAX HD enabled: what was your experience like? Similar to mine?
