Any tips on locating a Daedric Bow?

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 3:39 pm

My thinking is i can only hope i get one off a Master chest random drop but im hoping there might be one in the world or maybe an enemy type thats more likely to have one? dunno.

I can honestly say I've never seen any daedric armor or weapon in any chest... so my guess would be that ur going to have to make one urself...

I've gotten a Daedric greatsword in a chest so it can happen, also on my current charector i've gotten a dragon bone chest plate and two dragon bone gloves (one with +35 bow dam) so anything can drop. its random.

Craft your own? Smithing is easy to increese and sure it costs a few perks but it's totally worth it. If you invest perks into smithing/ alchemy/ enchanting you can get a dedric bow with a base dm of over 300 plus use dedric arrows. I started a thread awhile back on how to get unlimited dedric arrows if you search the forum for "dedric arrow factory" you can find it.

Back on topic: I would smith your own plus you can improve them better with the perks too.

Tips no, it can be a random drop. Sounds like your are an adventurer and not a blacksmith- so you are in my boat. We have to wait for a drop, but it is only mariginally better than an ebony bow assuming both were legendary level, so meh.

Conjured bow is daedric :)

Just be L48 or higher, and you might find one. But there's nowhere in particular I know of that's more likely than anywhere else.

Alternately, get your Conjuration skill to 90 and talk to Phinis Gestor at the College of Winterhold. Smithing isn't the only way to make Daedric gear -- I've only ever seen one piece drop (a bow, amusingly enough, but my character isn't an archer) but have made myself a complete set, despite my total lack of smithing perks.

I found a Daedric battleaxe in one of the bandit-infested forts near Riften at level 55+.

Also - the Khajit caravans sometimes sell enchanted Daedric weapons after you restore the Thieves' Guild to its former glory/you've formed an alliance with them. I've only ever found Daedric bows for sale though.

I found a Daedric Dagger and Daedric Bow; both of which were in chests in dungeons. I suppose once you are of the level it is just random spawn from that point on.

Once I reached level 50+ there was a Daedric bow for sale regularly from a merchant in Windhelm market at one of the stands.

I am pretty sure that it is very very rare to find a deadric weapon or armour, the easiest option would be to craft a set of armour or wep yourself, this is what i did

If you want a role-play reason to join the College, just walk up to the bridge and use the "Pff. [censored], please. I'm the Dragonborn." option. She'll say something along the line of "Oh, Dragonborn? Well, even though you aren't a Mage - we can still learn a great deal from each other. Please, follow me."

Though, you can eventually become the Arch-Mage, with no knowledge of any Magic beyond the Flames spell you're given at the start of the game. You can use shouts to get through everything in the quest line.

..So you might need to invent another role-playing reason for that, as well. =P

For me, 180hrs in at level 66, the ONLY daedric anything I can reliably find on any vendors are the dang bows.

Locations: The Thieves Guild fence in Winterhold, and the Kahjit caravan. Both after getting the achievement for restoring the guild.

Guys guys. People always seem to forget something :X

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Atronach_Forge

Atronach Forge ftw.
Turn that ebony bow into a deadric one and without having to get 90 smithing :P

Heads up though the ingredients required are rather hard to find.
Ebony Bow (unenchanted), Daedra Heart, Centurion Dynamo Core, Black Soul Gem.

The BIGGEST problem though is that it requires having a Sigil Stone in inventory and the Sigil Stone can only be obtained through the Conjuration ritual spell quest which requires having 90 conjuration before even being allowed to start the quest. Personally though even on my warrior toons i like having conjuration :X
