Any way to fix this ?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 4:34 pm

Ive tried searching through posts but havent seen anyone post this yet and maybe a fix to it? When im scrolling through different things my cursor goes crazy. I hit the left joystick down and it stops for a second then goes haywire again. It starts scrolling up and down on its own and kinda annoying :\. Ive got this for the 360 and was hoping the patch would have fixed it. Hopefully someone understands what im talking about. Example: Trying to pick customization for character and try going to the facial area then it moves itself to another part of the body on its own.

Any clue how to fix this?

Have to agree. I focused on the freeze issue, but I had the same problem. I tried it on a second character but the issue is still their.

I was having this same problem. The thing that is causing it is a controller where the sticks stray out of zero at center. The only way to fix this is to get a new controller.
I had the same problem in many other games where the menus would scroll and my gun would pull to one side when not touching the controller. I got a new controller the other day and it fixed the problem in this game and others.

Thanks! Ya I have multiple controllers so I will try switching out to another one and see if that fixes it. This was the only game it was doing it on but will try another controller out in a sec and hopefully fixes it :).

This is actually a code issue. The sensitivity for the joystick should be turned down on the menu screens. As controllers get older they get more sensitive and tend to 'crawl' or 'move' even though they aren't being touched. The way around this is to turn down the joystick sensitivity if you do not have a new controller to use, however since you are on a hud the hud should have the input sensitivity threshold set higher than it currently is. It almost seems as if the sensitivity is global to the entire game when perhaps it should be local to the in game shooting only.
