Anybody else hate the glitch when buying goods?

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 2:59 pm

Ok, you see multiples of an item you wish to buy, say ingots for example. You buy a few then it suddenly jumps to the item beneath, so if you're buying the item rapidly, you accidentally buy the stupid item below, even though the item you're wanting still has some quanity. Why does it do this?

Not a glitch, just you being stupid.

Assuming you're on PC and using a mouse to buy stuff, the only solution is: Don't do that, use the hotkeys.

The only other glitch I've run into is multiple different stacks of enchanted weapons (Same weapon, different enchant, same name) switching places randomly, which is a flaw in the sorting system used by the lists.
Same issue with potions of different magnitudes sometimes.

Absolutely. Accidentally finding yourself buying the wrong item, selling the wrong item, disenchanting the wrong item, or eating ingredients instead of putting them in a container is due to poor kb+m/PC UI implementation. I love the game, but it absolutely svcks that it is possible to make a mistake when trying to barter or store items.

IMO it's the only bad thing about the game, I shouldn't need to save before entering dialogue, barter, or container interaction, just in case my selections go wrong. Very poor UI design.

Otherwise the game is fantastic.

Thank god some of you guys voice your support, for that first response was plain ignorant. I've noticed when items get to about 2 remaining, it jumps down, as if the game thinks the item was sold out and moves the list.

To much of that around here. On-topic, this is a problem on the Xbox 360 version as well. It happens to me sometimes. It's usually when I a mrapidly buying and something reaches (5) quantity.

Yeah... it's a glitch.

I don't even have my hand on the stick (Exblawks 360 for me) when selling/storing/purchasing, yet it still causes problems.

Happens a lot to me. I sold a Daedric Artifact for like 500g when trying to sell of my Steel swords. >.< Had to rebuy the thing for like 7,000g.

Also happens when buying too. It gets annoying, but has taught me to slow down when shopping.

I have encountered the same error. It is very frustrating. Hopefully, it will be fixed in an update.

I hate when that happens; I accidentally sold a piece of armor I'd made that was worth about 5K for maybe half that, when what I wanted to sell was the item directly above it.

It occasionally happens when I'm buying, too; have bought ore several times when what I meant to buy was the ingot itself, and in at least one case bought the wrong kind of ingot. As I don't generally buy weapons or armor unless I'm looking for something to disenchant, I tend not to lose a ton of money this way so tend to not be too bothered if it happens.
