Anyone else feel like Skyrim could have used a darker tone?

Not "found" actually.
But her shrieking sound... It was damn spooky.
I hope I could meet her. Ah.. No.. Nevermind
Where did you hear it please do tell!

could you also imagine sea monsters or swamp monsters? Going to morthal and traveling the marsh could be quite detrimental. You could get dragged by skeleton corpses in the water from ancient wars past. having to cast spells to ward you from unholy beasts and monsters.

imagine happening upon an undead skeletal dragon emerging from the marsh attacking you.
That might be interesting, if I hadn't seen it about a dozen times already. I remember coming across one (and a Lich to boot) in the game Lost Kingdoms a number of years ago.

Well no. You the Dragonborn! A legendary hero who kills dragon, not some schoolgirl running from a creepy guy with a knife. You are (or will be) the most powerful thing in the world and have no reason to be scared of anything. Why would you want it darker?

Picture Falkreath having a darker part of the wood

Well there is the DB sanctuary at the far end of the graveyard? With that spooky black gunge or whatever it is.

But I get what you mean overall.

Basically I want specific areas to feel as they should have or as dark as their lore implies.
