so i finished the main story ark of the thieves guild with the nightingales and all that stuff. i come back to the guild and expect a warm welcome from the people as their new guildmaster, but no. people are still calling me brynjolf's new protege. it was only forty hours of gameplay later that i found that the way you actually become the guildmaster is by doing enough of the small jobs. problem is, i can't talk to brynjolf about improving the guild because after you finish the main story ark he keeps telling me he's busy and will talk to me later rendering it impossible for me to restore the guild to its former glory.

anyone else get this glitch? or better yet, does anyone know a way around this glitch? i'd like to not have to start a new character seventy hours into my first one just to see what its like to become guildmaster.

Its not a glitch, you're just talking to the wrong person. Talk to Vex or Delvin Mallory and then you'll have the option to get a job from them.

...that's because that isn't how you become guild master. Do the random quests from Vex and Delvin and they'll begin to give you special quests in specific cities, take back all the cities for the Thieves Guild and you become guild master.

yeah i know that. but after those quests you have to go back to brynjolf to confirm that and upgrade the guild. his speech doesn't come up.

when u do the last quest everyone is in the backroom and u gotta go stad in a certain spot, that has happened correct? because i know u gotta do 5 random quest in city, get a special quest for that city which totals out to 5 special quests and at the end of that when u go into the guild everyone is standing around in the backroom.

After you complete the nightengale stuff you have to do jobs for Delvan and Vex. Delvan will give you a special mission every five jobs you complete. After Doing 4 of them you'll officially become GM.

I have done all the special jobs and my fences give 4000 gold and still B won't talk to me. ><;; so pissed.....
