Anyone else run like hell from the mailman?

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 11:33 am

I always turn a corner and see that sketchy ass mailman high-tailing it towards me with his worthless letters and instantly my PTSD goes off and I get flashbacks from Oblivion when talking to NPCs involved being forced to zoom in on them like a cutscene. Needless to say I run like a mother father.

If you shout in a city those 'worthless' letters that come in are a location containing a new shout ;)

Yeah, always sneaks up on me. I might be so busy trying to capture a bee and he just ruins it.

Saying that, do really like getting the messages though. Would be awesome if couriers and the mail person did that in real life. I'd just have to have my name on a parcel to be delivered and no matter where I lived, I would get the parcel. Possibly be a bit creepy though. Having a poo in a public toilet and suddenly hear a knock and my parcels arrived. The parcel from the courier that is.

By the way, does anyone know who writes those letters? I'd like to have a friendly chat.

Great, just what we all need, a severe interruption for yet another PoI marked off on the map. Like I said, worthless letters for a rude interruption. ; ;

I don't mind getting letters, it makes me feel kind of special. When I'm traveling on the road though and I see one... If I talk to him and he doesn't have anything for me (he usually doesn't) and there's nobody around then he goes MIA if you know what I mean. ;)

Fur helmets kinda look like colovian fur helms in skyrim.
And it's happened to me too.

Yea, he freaks me out. I made a post about it once. it`s just the way he beelines towards you- I always think it`s some weird super-fast evil bandit or something. I never think to run away but pull out my sword instead.

I did have another time when someone came running at me out of the wilderness and that freaked me out too, but then I thought, probabaly the courier....

Unfortunately, it was a bandit with blacked out markings around her eyes. She looked like a real freaky barbarian woman. I was so taken by surprise she actually battered me over the head a few times before I even got my sword out! My Follower saved me.
