Anyone else start over every patch?

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 6:32 pm

I’ve got just about 100 hours on my current level 41 character but am thinking of all the cool killcams I may have missed early on, and the early underwater exploration that might be so much better now, and I just have a weird itch to delete my console hard-drive, clear cache, re-install, and start again from Day 1...

It might be a disease...

It's as a good a reason as any to start a new character, especially if you're getting bored with your current character. I did it when 1.4 came out, mainly to make sure quest bugs would be fixed (since a lot of fixes aren't retroactive).

I wouldn't say every patch, but every so often I, too, get bored with whatever current character I'm playing and start over. I did it for the 1.5 patch but that was just a coincidence

Nope, I'm sticking with Patch 1.0 until the last patch comes out. I don't have live so I don't have a choice in the matter but I probably would do it regardless.

Started a Khajiit assassin for the third time. The first, I accidentally deleted it. The second, I dispersed too much on skills (though not as much as on the first one; on that one, I put perks on Conjuration, Destruction, Restoration, Enchanting, Block, Light Armor, Archery, One-handed, Two-handed, Smithing, Alchemy, Sneak, Pickpocket and Speech - and I was a Khajiit ASSASSIN!; on the second however, I still dispersed too much, which made me start hating my character). Now I'm on the third Khajiit assassin (level 16), also because of patches 1.4 and 1.5 and not to be already too strong when the DLC comes out. But that's the beauty of this game, right?

I have restarted several times...but not on account of patches...just because as I understand the game more I want to develop my character differently...so far I have not played through any of the main questlines...just fecking about...and enjoying it...great game

My current character was started just after 1.4. Finishing up the TG radiant quests then it's onto a new one. I'm also planning on re-rolling the characters I got to levels 48 and 52, since the game is much improved after 1.5 came out.

Apologies to Bruce Wayne, Ezio and Commander Shepard - you'll have to wait.
