Anyone here play on Very Hard/hardcoe?

What kind of hard is it? I hope it's not the same as F3 "Shoot 500 bullets into normal NPC's face and he loses 3 bars of health" kind of hard. I hope it's "Shoot 1 bullet in enemies face, he dies, but if you get 3 bullets in your face, you die too" kind of hard.

hardcoe mode does not effect difficulty, only starvation, dehydration, huner, sleep, weight of ammo etc etc.
Iguess it would be like F3, but with all the above factors added

It's the same as Fallout 3.

Hard: 150% Enemy Damage, 75% Player Damage, Bonus XP
Very hard: 200% Enemy Damage, 50% Player Damage, Bonus+ XP

Like you I wish there was some "Realism" mode where it had both Enemy Damage: 200+% and Player Damage: +200+%.

Ugh I just hate how very hard basically means unrealistic.

I shouldn't have to shoot a human being more than once in the face to see him die

^ But then it'd have to be the same for you if you're looking for realism.. and you'd be dying and loading every 2 minutes.

I tried hardcoe early on and due to stupidity on my part I ruined the experience.

MINOR SPOILER BELOW

**

On the quest where you must choose between helping the Powder Gangers or helping Goodwill, I choose to help the Gangers

**

Needless to say from that point on I could not locate a doctor anywhere. I ended up getting a concussion and after an hour of walking around trying to find a doctor with the head injury effects fully annoying me, I gave up and started a new game. (Mainly cause I regretted throwing Goodwill to the hounds).

I've been using hardcoe Mode since buying FALLOUT: NEW VEGAS yesterday and it feels very balanced and fair. All one has to do is practice commonsense with a real world mentality like rpgs of old and you'll be alright. Keeping track of how much food, water and sleep i need is very simple and is handled in the same way radiation is with a measuring slider telling how much the player has to consume or sleep. So simple its genius.
