Anyone know the total number of locations that you can discover? I think in the stats menu it says I have discovered 334, just wondering what the total is. Thanks

The map does not have all the places in the map as markers, so that count is not accurate. There are more than 500 places that you can do something at, and there are even more places that are just there to make you go "Hmmm, wonder what this is about" Like a campground in the middle of nowhere with evidence of a story you can figure out. Some even point to quests.

So, what is the total number of locations, ie, the max number you get in the stats menu?
Also, how many locations have map markers?
