Is that the same as the "Silent Hill fix"? Because yes, that one works so far with my single core AMD CPU. Unfortunately, there is no HDR and no AA anymore. If anyone knows how to enable that together with that fix, it would be nice to know.
And as far as the topic is concerned: With a decent graphics card, New Vegas indeed runs great on a decent single core CPU, just like Fallout 3 does. Unfortunately, Bethesda and Obsidian seem to have managed to do the same thing as BioWare did with Mass Effect 2: They created a completely artificial and unnecessary barrier. Some sort of bug causes these voice and/or freeze issues. The "Silent hill fix" worked for ME 2, and it apparently works for NV. Is it really too much asked for to fix these bugs before release, or at least after release? We know that you wrote dual core CPU in the minimum requirements, but come on, the game does run very well otherwise. You just need to fix this bug. BioWare eventually did too, even though they didn't have to either.
