Anyone want to know more about the dragonborn and the reason

Post » Sun Jul 15, 2012 12:39 am

I do not know why. Maybe it could be because of the thalmor? Maybe the dragonborn was being hunted. I want to know.
My guy which is a Nord wanted to go get some Original nordic mead.

We are supposed to make our own reason. You have to create a reason. Even with alt start mods, I still create reasons for why the character was in the alt start. You are given a basic idea of the setting and can craft the why and how as you see fit. This is how all the TES games are. Daggerfall is the closest to going deeper into the why and how, though.

My character ran too far into Cyrodiil because he was chasing a butterfly, and didn't notice he was crossing.

JOKING, it's more complex than that.

It's supposed to be your story. You come up with why.

Just a wandering swordsmen in the wrong place at the right time. It all worked out for him in the end.

Nope. The whole concept of the Dragonborn is boring to me. I haven't even done the main quest since December... Really holds no appeal to me.

They won't give an answer as many people have background stories. I myself have several reasons why.

Khajiit: Wanted in Cyrodil, wants to start over.

Imperial: Veteran of the Great-War, he farmed near Anvil. He leaves to see a friend from the war; in the process he is stripped by Stormcloaks and the imperials mistake him.

Argonian: Crosses from Morrowind, the Dunmer have grown hostile towards Argonians.

Nord: Heard of Ulfric's cause, went to help.

Ect, ect. It's your reason, Bethesda likes to stay vague with how you [censored] up to be blunt.

He No-Clipped through the invisible wall, just to see what terrain was on the other side. Then No-Clipped on the Carriage. That's why he isn't on the list.

There is a very rare condition where you wake up one day and you have no idea who you are or where you came from. There is no scientific explanation, but there have been a few recorded and confirmed instances of it happening.

well, my "canon" dragonborn is an argonian who came from a small village in black marsh that was destoryed by imperials. he came because he was going to help ulfric. full backstory is much longer and you learn why the" imperials" razed the village
