anything from Bethesda on Ps3 version ?

Post » Fri Apr 29, 2011 8:53 pm

I played both the Xbox version and PS3 version of FO3 and the PS3 version was terribly glitchy. Has bethesda said anything about the PS3 and Xbox versions beng more equal this time around? Just curious, thanks.

***EDIT*** looks like a lot of the issues were fixed after i played. perhaps the PS3 version is no longer as glitchy as it once was.

I... never really had issues with the PS3 version. Sure, it froze up sometimes, but it never got to the point of insane frustration. But hopefully Obsidian's dedicated staff also has an excellent QA team!

Same here, a few glitches and freezes on the PS3 version of Fo3, especially in the pre-DLC days before the last patches came out, but nothing so terrible that I wanted to hurl my controller at the TV.

to be honest the 360 version made me get frustrated because all the freezing...... and some times i couldnt even go out into the wasteland because it froze too much..... and there was a big bug with project purity... in my game...... but im getting FONV for ps3 though..... im hoping dlcs/EP's come out on both consoles at the same time..unlike fallout 3....

I owned a PS3 and hated it, the PS3 hater in me wants to laugh at you.

But I will be civil, both the 360 and the PS3 have ups and downs, and I am about done with my 360 over all. You are going to have some small problems at first, just hope they get a patch to all platforms in a timely manner.

The older I get, the more into pc gaming i get, but that might just be me. I hope it works equally well on all platforms.

That said, the PS3 seems to get updates slower than the other platform, and slower to get DLC too. Its not fair, or right but thats just how it has been.

I had the regular version and goty version for both PS3 and 360, and have to say that with loading times, freezing, frame-rate etc. The 360 handled Fallout much, much better imo... especially with the DLCs which totally crapped out with my ps3 version. Eventually I will buy a copy for both systems and just stick with whichever version is superior, because Fallout rocks!

I have only had problems with the GOTY version. My PS3 never hangs except on this crappy game. Dont get me wrong I love Fallout 3 , its kewl, but I bought the GOTY edition for the DLC addons and all it does is freeze!!!!!

why wont they fix it, maybe we should have a class action law suit, hehe

I can't even get past Lucas Simms on the 360 version... Just before he engages the "You're from that vault... Vault 101!", the game freezes. I then bought a copy on the PC. I'll be buying NV for PS3, and I hope Obsidian fixes all the bugs and glitches people talk about.

I share your concerns, I made a thread about it awhile back.

Near as we can figure, the DLC caused the majority of the problems with FO3 for console. And patches were slow to appear for PS3
But since the release of NV won't be as haphazard, and presumably there's equal attention to all platforms this time around, I'm not THAT worried.

Although, a couple of release-bugs are an industry standard these days!
