Aol or Hotmail?

Post » Sun Oct 02, 2011 6:27 pm

Which is a better e-mail site? Aol or Hotmail? I've been using Hotmail forever now, but I just looked at Aol, and it seems pretty nice. I'm not sure which one to choose. :ahhh:

Umm, can you choose option C. Gmail? But if it has to be one of those, Hotmail I guess, but I don't have much experience with AOL.

Honestly, I wouldn't use either one. Gmail ftw!

I have not checked out Gmail, but I shall do so now.

AOl? You mean that service that is worse than Yahoo and offers no SSL encryption for email other than original user authentication?

Yes, that one.

I checked out Gmail, and I got to say... I don't like it very much. I might just have to stick with Hotmail, since DEFRON makes a good point.

I use Hotmail.

Hotmail does the job for security so far. No credit card have been compromised.

Thank's for letting me read your email when I get my MitM on at Starbucks. I'll enjoy the free cookie to be able to access your emails whenever I want afterwards if you don't mind either. Not that you have a say in the matter anyway since Yahoo Mail doesn't offer SSL encryption unless you pay.

Do you know if Hotmail offers SSL encryption?

Yes it does. Can't recall if it's enabled by default or not though.

If you have an android phone, hands-down Gmail has the best security. If you don't and don't mind locking your email access to specific computers, Hotmail has the best security. If you want to be able to access it from any computer, though, Gmail still wins.

That'll change if MS ever decides to lift the stupid 16 character password limit.

Okay. Hotmail it is then.
