App crashes in Antechamber

I keep crashing trying to move through the antechamber corridor in the control room when trying to confront Mr. House or if I try to open the statis chamber via computer terminal, it crashes.

I updated my Nvdia drivers to latest and also tried to load a save game from a older file. STill no luck.

My companions are Veronica and ED-E. I also left them behind outside of Lucky 38. The only companion I have with me is the NCR Ranger that I can't seem to get rid of. I called her in from an earlier mission.

I already completed the game using the same system and configuration but now trying to win with a different faction this time.

Sadly if I can't kill Mr. House, I'm unable to solve at least 2 of the possible alliances (NCR and myself running New Vegas ala Yes Man)

I started having a lot more problems since the major patches.

Any insight would be great.

After some more searching online I found my answer in another forum (From http://forums.techarena.in/video-games/1309697.htm) and it helped prevent crashes into Mr. House's Antechamber. It may also work for others who have NVidia cards and Vista OS and experiencing similar CTD or random crashes to desktop.

This was a very simple fix requiring no downloading of extraneous files or weird registry modifications/changes etc...just a simple turning off of graphics options in your Graphics Property/3D Settings in Windows Vista.

>>The graphic card which you are using must not be properly configured due to which you are getting such an error. Every game needs the graphic card to be configured according to the engine on >>which the game is developed. Nvidia graphic card are configured for running high end graphics editing software's. This settings create problems while running certain games. Configure your graphic >>card as per steps given below and then see if the game crashes or not. Open the graphic properties and select Manage 3D settings.
>>1. Highlight Anistropic filtering and select force off
>>2. Highlight Triple buffering and select force off
>>3. Highlight Vertical sync and select force off
>>Save and apply the settings and try running the game.

After I turned off these things, I was able to complete the Yes Man objectives and finish the game :-)
