People just have money to piss away lately it's totally amazing. Got a catalog in the mail yesterday that had an 8ft X-mas tree in it for $999 dollars which is beyond stupid. Hate to say it but i'm tempted to do what that youtube guy did saying someone give me money.

Yeah. I remember seeing an Apple 2 on sale in Newcastle for ￡650 back in the early '80s; that was contrasted to the higher spec BBC Model B's price of ￡400, and that was by then considered over-priced. Dunno what the equivalent of ￡650 would be 30 years on, but probably not that short of $6,000.
