Ok so I'm working on a hokuto shinken mod and it's pretty much done except for no matter what I do I cannot get unarmed attacks to trigger spell effects. I cannot for the life of me see anything wrong with them and all the other abilities and stuff work just fine. I've tried every combination of trigger conditions and what not but they just will not trigger anything I put on them. Is it just me or am I really missing something in trying to put some abilities onto unarmed attacks?

As far as I can tell there is nothing special about unarmed attacks that prevent it from triggering paralysis or disarming but I've fiddled with everything I can think of and haven't gotten anywhere with it.
