How long does this take to regenerate?

Also is there a spell to regenerate them faster?

Nothing respawns if your in the same cell. You've wasted 40 days.

While the majority of the stuff in the guide is right, I don't believe they DONT respawn, I see no reason how they are different to other plants, that do respawn, so only time will tell.

Does it matter if you waste 40 days?

Yes - if you wait too long the snake people of Akavir will invade in an attempt to enslave and also eat the dragons since theirs went extinct from them eating all of them.

Yeah it wouldn't be called that even if that's where it was - just not an impressive sounding name and the same reason there was no Elder Scrolls IV: Cyrodil. It would probably be called "TES VI: Dominion." They might always have it be elsewhere, maybe even Elsweyr. Akavir could be interesting - and could involve a Thalmor invasion which the Empire was threatened with another Great War into providing support for. If the Thalmor went nuts over Talos worship, imagine how they'd feel about all those dirty snake and monkey people worshipping their mongrel heathen gods and even dragons.

I could swear I harvested stuff a week ago and it came back..... I thought that's what those floating glowing balls of light were for, to give the plants light to grow.

Also, "harvesting" in the garden doesn't take all of the mushrooms, creep cluster, etc., so I assumed some were left to grow back.
Now I'm curious to keep an eye on it.

In my whiterun home I harvested the garlic and it never respawned. I was farming ebony for a full set for me an Lydia and waited in various places for over 3 months and went back in my house and they were still gone. It might be that only indoor plants never respawn.

Well the official guide is wrong then cause I harvested about 3 times now, even the objects on all the shelves respawn.

I'm arch mage btw, maby you need to get that first.

Everything in your archmage quarters replenishes after awhile, even the soul gems on the shelves will get restocked. The stuff in your homes in other towns do not replenish however except the small garden outside of the Riften home.

Actualy, my garden outside the house in Riften has yet to respawn. I've completed the BD and MQ, and stil nothing there.

I've had it respawn 2 times so far, though I'm not sure exactly how long the respawn cycle took.
